South Carolina Mustard BBQ Sauce for Smoked Chicken or Ribs

Ingredients

  • Villari Brothers Smokehouse CraftedTM Fully-cooked Chicken Breasts, Wings, Drumsticks or Half Chicken
  • Villari Brothers Smokehouse CraftedTM Fully-cooked Pork Baby Back or St. Louis Pork Ribs
  • Villari Brothers Fully-cooked Smoked Pork Baby Back, St. Louis or Spare Ribs
  • Sauce:
  • 1 Cup Prepared Yellow Mustard
  • 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Heinz Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Minced
  • 2 teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Texas Pete Hot Sauce

Directions

  1. Place all Sauce ingredients in a medium sauce pan and cook over medium high heat until hot.
  2. Turn heat to medium low and stir constantly for 2-3 minutes. Lower heat, simmer and let the Sauce reduce until thickened (approximately 10 minutes).
  3. Pour into bowl and let cool for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350º F.
  5. Remove Smoked Chicken or Smoked Ribs from packaging and place on ovenable pan. Coat the Chicken or Ribs all over with the sauce and heat according to heating instructions on the package.
  6. Remove from oven and use brush to apply another layer of sauce and return to oven for 5 more minutes.
  7. Remove Chicken or Ribs from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
