1920s-Style Pork Chops and Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 4 Villari Prime Boneless Pork Chops
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup applesauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Directions

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  2. Remove pork chops and set aside. In the same pan, melt butter and pour in apple cider.
  3. Stir in applesauce and cinnamon, then return pork chops to the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes, spooning sauce over chops.
