Slow-Cooked Philly Pork Butt Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Villari Prime Pork Butt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickled hot peppers (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the pork butt on all sides.
  2. Add garlic, onion, chicken broth, vinegar, and brown sugar to the slow cooker.
  3. Season the pork with salt and pepper, then cook on low for 6-8 hours until tender.
  4. Shred the pork and serve on hoagie rolls with provolone cheese and pickled hot peppers.
