Country Smoked Sausage with Bowtie Pasta

  • 14 ounce package of Villari Brothers Smoked Sausage in Sheep Casing
  • 16 ounce package Bowtie Pasta
  • 16 ounces Frozen Spinach
  • 1 Sweet Onion, sliced into strips
  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 Orange Bell Pepper, cut into strips
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sweet Basil
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Beef Stock
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


  1. Cook Bow Tie Pasta for 2 minutes less than package instructions and drain.
  2. Sauté Onions and Peppers together over high heat for a few minutes; you only want them half done
  3. Cut Country Smoked Sausage on a bias into 1/2 inch slices.
  4. Add Sausage to Onions and Peppers.
  5. Add thawed, drained Spinach and Spices to pan and stir.
  6. Add Pasta, Herbs and Beef Stock and stir briefly,
  7. Cover and let steam for 4 to 5 minutes; remove lid and stir again
  8. Salt and Pepper to taste.
  9. Pour into serving dish and drizzle with the olive oil.
  10. Serve with shredded parmesan cheese on the side for those who wish to add.
