Our Role in

Keeping America Fed

What Villari Foods is Doing to Stay Safe During COVID-19

At Villari Foods, safety is always our number one priority – and that is of course true during this pandemic. We are committed to the health and safety of our employees, who are on the front lines of keeping America fed during these trying times.

As Covid-19 impacts all of our communities, we recognize that our dedication to being smart, staying healthy, and keeping our production running is more important now than ever.

Our job has always been ensuring our customers are fed with responsible, top quality proteins. This is now as critical as it’s ever been as this terrible virus threatens food and grocery supply chains around the world.

From the men and women who keep our manufacturing lines running to our dedicated sanitation staff, and the truck drivers who are transporting our products to grocery stores across the country, first we say thank you.

Our employees have stepped up during this critical time, embracing their role in doing their part to ensure the supply chain for America’s proteins remains strong.

To our customers, we want to assure you that it is our priority to keep our operations up and running as long as we can do so in a way that is safe for our employees and our communities.

While all of us have a small part to play in the larger mission of keeping America fed, we want you to know we’re doing our part.

Here are some of the steps we are taking to ensure the health of our employees and the safety of our products:

Frequent Hand Washing

While frequent hand washing is always a policy at our plant, this has an increased emphasis.

Increased Sanitizing

Our facilities have always had stringent sanitation procedures, and those have gotten even more stringent in the past weeks. We are following strictest sanitation guidelines mandated by the USDA while also incorporating CDC recommendations.

Temperature Monitoring

Each day when employees arrive at the plant, we do temperature checks to ensure that no one coming into the plant has a fever.

Proper PPE

Working with our Covid-19 taskforce, we have secured personal protection equipment for all employees in our facilities.

Social Distancing

Employees are required to practice social distancing during work and during break time.

Boosted Benefits

We are offering telemedicine to our employees at an accelerated waiting period (30 days vs. 90 days.)
