Villari Donates 160,000 Protein Servings to Area Churches on Giving Tuesday

On Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Warsaw-based Villari Food Group donated 30,000 lbs of protein – or the equivalent of 160,000 servings of protein to local churches in Eastern North Carolina for distribution to their communities. Warsaw Mayor A.J. Connors joined Villari Food Group in distributing the donations.

Villari Food Group (VFG) has been an active community member in Warsaw and in Eastern North Carolina over the last 25 years, creating more than 1,000 jobs and participating in charitable giving locally in Warsaw, as well as throughout the region and the state.

Villari Foods, CEO, Joe Villari, said, “Giving back is a big part of who we are at Villari Food Group. As we enter this holiday season, it’s important that we all do our part to make sure families in our communities have access to quality proteins, and we are pleased to be part of this important initiative with Mayor Connors.”

Warsaw Mayor, AJ Connors, said, “Villari Food Group has been an important part of our community in Warsaw, providing jobs and giving back to the community in many ways. This Giving Tuesday, I’m glad to be here with Villari Food Group as we bring together local business and local government to help people in need.”

VFG is involved in several local charities and has recently donated more than 40,000 protein servings to the Central and Eastern North Carolina Food Bank.
