Pork Grilling Guide to Success


  • Use cooking thermometer – make sure internal temperature reaches 145°F
  • Let rest after cooking
  • Season before grilling
  • Make sure grates are clean and use a non-stick spray or cooking oil
  • Marinade for extra flavor and tenderness


    • Let grill get too hot
    • Flip repeatedly on the grill
    • Apply sauces too early; especially sugar-based sauces as these tend to burn
    • Use a sharp utensil to flip; this can pierce the pork and let juices escape making the meat less tender
    • Cook to an internal temperature above 145°
